Experience the ultimate summer training at Excel Race Academy's Chile Race & Training Camp in El Colorado, where reliable snow conditions and ski-in/ski-out convenience set the stage for your Winter season success! Open to U12 to FIS, postgraduate (PG), and collegiate athletes, our camps offer intense training and the excitement of early-season FIS and children's races, situated at 2,400 m in the breathtaking Andes Mountains!

Camp Overview

Excel returns to El Colorado Ski Resort, Chile, for the third time. Situated at an altitude of 2,400 metres (7,874 feet), El Colorado offers excellent conditions for Giant Slalom (GS), Slalom (SL), and Super G (SG). The 2024 camp was a massive success, thanks to fantastic snow conditions and quiet training slopes. Athletes will have the chance to take part in early season Children’s and FIS races in El Colorado and La Parva; a great opportunity for first year FIS athletes to lower their seed points before the European season. Due to the high altitude, we will organise trips down to Santiago to help athletes recover and rest, while also giving them the opportunity to enjoy the cultural aspects of the city.

Coaching Staff

At Excel we pride ourselves on high quality individualised coaching. In order to maintain an exceptional coach-to-athlete ratio of 1:5, 3 coaches will be in attendance to serve 15 athletes. The coaches attending are:

Camp Facilities

Accommodation

Athletes will stay in 3 ski-in/ski-out apartments on the slope for easy access to and from training with all meals catered for.

World Class Training Lanes

Athletes will train Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super G gates next to some of the fastest World Cup skiers.

Ski Tuning Room

Our ski tuning room has direct access onto the slopes. Coaches will tune athletes skis daily with world-class Snowglides.

Fitness & Gym

From bikes to olympic barbells, athletes will have supervised fitness sessions throughout the camp in the gym room.

Shops and Cafe

Despite living at 2,400 metres, there is a small shop and cafe in El Colorado.

Sending a 10-year-old off to Chile (what feels like the other side of the world!) was honestly one of the most nerve wracking things I’ve ever done as a mum. No other mini girls, no Jazzy, and me at home wondering what on earth I’d agreed to. But I needn’t have worried for a second. The communication and support throughout the entire camp was absolutely incredible, honestly, Juls, you must have been running at 110% the whole time. I couldn’t have asked for more.
Although Lola was technically an “in-lier” last season and already felt part of the team, this trip has really cemented this for her. She’s come home a different girl, trying new foods (who knew that was possible?!), brimming with confidence, and with some hilarious stories that make me realise she’s grown in more ways than ever. She was so happy (and a little bit honoured!) to be able to stay with the older girls, who all looked out for her brilliantly.
She was pushed just the right amount, out of her comfort zone, especially in the free ride and in training sessions, but always supported. She cannot wait to get back on snow and is more excited than ever for the season to get started! Special thanks to Jomo, who took such good care of her and taught her so much. Honestly, I couldn’t be more grateful.
What started as me stressing about sending her to the end of the earth has ended with her coming back sassier, braver, and more a part of her team than ever.

Callum had such a fantastic time at the Excel Chile Camp 2025. From day one, the camp had such a great balance, top-level training on the slopes, but also a real sense of community where the coaches and athletes supported each other and had plenty of fun along the way. It was clear that everyone there was invested in helping each other improve while enjoying the whole experience.
The training environment was amazing. With world-class slopes, excellent facilities, and the chance to ski alongside athletes from all over the world, every day felt like a new opportunity to learn and push himself. He especially loved the chance to connect his peers from other teams as well as older athletes.
One of the absolute highlights was the opportunity to take part in the Chile Freeride Competition. Not only was it an exciting challenge, but Callum was thrilled to come away with a podium finish, placing 5th. This was a massive confidence boost and a proud moment for him, showing just how far he has come with his skiing.
The progress Callum made at this camp has been huge. He returned home technically sharper, mentally stronger, and more motivated than ever to take on the season ahead. The camp has given him a great foundation to build on, and he came back buzzing with energy and ready to race again as soon as he landed!
Overall, Excel Chile Camp 2025 was more than just training, it was a community, an adventure, and a big step forward in Callum’s skiing journey.

Josh had an incredible experience at the Excel Chile camp 2025. The camp's strength lies in its fantastic community; the coaches and teammates know each other well, which created an environment where everyone could bring out the best in each other, both in serious training and in fun off-snow moments.
The location and facilities were amazing, fostering a unique opportunity to train not just within our team but alongside skiers from all over the world. This mix of ages and cultures was invaluable, and Josh was particularly inspired by meeting so many accomplished older athletes he could look up to.
Most importantly, as a first-year U16 skier, the progress Josh made during the camp has given him tremendous confidence and motivation to pursue his skiing dreams. The solid foundation built in Chile has provided a significant boost as he prepares for the upcoming winter season. He was so energized that he was eager to go straight to the Lowlands Championships upon landing at Heathrow!
